What does that mean?
“User with special traffic – Your account has been re-classified.”

This is the first question for users whose accounts are classified as “User with special traffic”.

Basically, there is no need to panic. You will continue to receive revenue for your visitors, and your account and links will remain active. In this article, you will learn what this classification means for your account in the future and why.

Let’s start with the first question:

What are the reasons for the new classification of the account?

This new account status can have several reasons. In most cases, however, one or more policy violations are responsible. For us, adherence to the guidelines is very important to guarantee high payout rates and to protect advertising partners. If you have violated our program policies or terms and conditions, we will assign this new status to your account.

The most common reasons for the new account classification overview:

Certain visitor sources are considered dubious according to our policies. This usually includes sites whose content violates our content policies. For example, adult content, violent or xenophobic content. Another example are websites that make pirated copies of films for free download. Link creators are not allowed to share links on sites that have one or more of the following characteristics:

Pornographic or adult-only content

Violent content

Hate speech (for example: content that incites hatred or incites violence against individuals or groups based on ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation / gender identity), harassment, bullying, or the like, directed against individuals or groups of content

Obscenities

Content related to hacking and cracking

Misleading or deceptive software

Malware or adware

Content related to illegal drugs

Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activities, or violates the rights of others

In addition to the visitor sources, certain landing pages that you link to are considered dubious according to our guidelines. This usually includes sites whose content violates our content policies. For example, adult content, violent or xenophobic content. An example is again and again web sites that make pirated copies of films for free download. Link creators should not link to sites that have one or more of the following characteristics:

 Pornographic or adult-only content

 Violent content

Hate speech (for example: content that incites hatred or incites violence against individuals or groups based on ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, age, veteran status, or sexual orientation / gender identity), harassment, bullying, or the like, directed against individuals or groups of content

 Obscenities

Content related to hacking and cracking

 Misleading or deceptive software

 Malware or adware

 Content related to illegal drugs

Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activities, or violates the rights of others

Link creators may not have created links that receive traffic from particular sources. For example, link creators may not participate in pay-to-click programs. The following visitor sources / programs are prohibited on Linkvertise.net:

Use third-party services to generate visitors, such as pay-to-click, pay-to-surf, autosurf or click-exchange programs

Linkvertise Users may not click on their own links or use other manual or other means to artificially increase the number of visitors

Link creators may not link to copyrighted content on websites, unless they have the necessary rights to distribute that content.

What consequences does this status have for your account?

As we have found one or more policy violations, your account has now been re-classified to protect our advertisers. The following adjustments have been made to your account:

  • The revenue per view adjusted slightly downward. That means, you earn slightly less per impression than before.
  • Dubious sources are approved. In the future, visitors from dubious sources will be considered as normal users. It is likely to increase revenue for your account.
  • It will show alternative advertising. It may be that the ad on the intermediate page adapts.

Generally, there are no major changes in your account.

Can you undo this status?

No, that is only possible in exceptional cases. Should it be that we have re-classified your account wrongly, please submit a complaint to the e-mail [email protected].

We ask you to check carefully if this new account classification is justified for you. If this is not the case, please contact the Linkvertise.net team.
